Church on the Ranch Staff

Scotty Vaughn - Senior Pastor and wife Cindy

Scotty spent twenty-nine years as the resident emcee and storyteller at the world famous "Flying W Ranch" in Colorado Springs until he answered God's call to step out into ministry and became a founding member of the "Colorado Cowboys for Jesus” and the founder of “Cowboy Up", a men's outreach of Life Network. Calling himself “the most broken person in the Church”, Scotty then responded to God’s call to be the Senior Pastor of Church on the Ranch.

Scotty met his wife Cindy shortly after he became a Christian and they have now been married 25 years. Cindy is a gifted teacher and encourager who leads with a servant’s heart and a shepherd’s compassion. When asked if she’s ever witnessed a miracle, Cindy points to Scotty’s transformed life and their long marriage. Scotty and Cindy have three children and 6 grandchildren and thoroughly enjoy their roles as "Papa" and "Nana", in addition to their role as shepherds of Church on the Ranch.

Church On The Ranch Board

Chairman of the Board Denny and Marilyn Rydberg

Denny and Marilyn Rydberg started with us early on and have been instrumental in laying the foundation for God's vision at Church on the Ranch. Denny currently serves as the President of Young Life, and has faithfully led them for 18 years. Before joining Young Life, Denny and Marilyn served together as the Directors of University ministries at University Presbyterian Church. Denny also ministered on church staffs in Tacoma and San Diego, and in leadership positions in several other Christian organizations. Denny and Marilyn have also been involved in a ministry to women professional golfers on the LPGA tour. Before their marriage, Marilyn served in leadership with Campus Crusade for Christ. Denny graduated from Seattle Pacific University and has authored several books. Marilyn graduated from the University of Oregon. They have four children and four grandchildren.

Stan and Pat Dill

The Dill family was one of the first families to join us at Church on the Ranch and have been faithful members of our family. Stan and Pat each accepted Jesus 36 years ago and have served in many different churches since that time. Through the years, they have walked closely with God through the trials and disappointments in life, and have a heart to share the comfort of the Lord they have received. They became involved early on in Bible studies and outreach projects at Church on the Ranch and have been a very important part of God's heart for our church family. Stan also helps with facilities management and serves faithfully on construction and maintenance projects. Stan and Pat have been married for 39 years and have 4 children.

Greg Kinberg

Greg Kinberg has been involved with Church on the Ranch for two years and is excited about what he sees God doing in the lives of our Church family, including his own. He continually blesses our Church with his administrative and organizational gifts, which he developed while working for Young Life for 42 years; 10 in direct ministry with kids and 32 in the senior leadership of the mission. His years of ministry experience have been invaluable to the Church, particularly during its formative time. Greg grew up in Rockford, Illinois, graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY and has a Masters of Theology from Fuller Seminary. Greg is currently the chief operating officer at Young Life. He is married to Glenn and has two grown children and three dogs.

Jeff and Twila Plowman

Jeff and Twila Plowman are one of the pioneer families at Church on the Ranch. Their commitment to living life with Christ at the center is evident in their heart to serve the Church family in any way they can. Jeff and Twila are often the first ones to arrive and the last to leave any event. In addition to leading a men's bible study, Jeff serves as Praise Team Coordinator, and plays with the Praise Team on Sundays. His friendly and engaging manner, extraverted personality, and heart for people, is felt by all who receive a hug from him on a Sunday morning. Twila is a perfect balance to Jeff and helps in countless ways in the background. They have lived and enjoyed a western lifestyle and raised their daughter around ranch work, rodeo, shoeing horses, and roping, while making a living in the asphalt & utilities industry. Jeff & Twila have been married since 1974 and have one daughter and four grandchildren.

Pastor Scotty and Cindy Vaughn

As a part of their role as shepherds of Church on the Ranch, Pastor Scotty and Cindy also serve on the Church Board.

Jennifer White

Jennifer White has been coming to Church on the Ranch for the past 3 years and has been a valuable addition to our church family.   She oversees our church finances and accounting, as well as serving as Treasurer of the Church Board.  She continues to bless this Church with her skills as a lawyer and accountant, yet is always ready and willing to help out wherever there is a need.  In fact, Jennifer is the one who took charge and got our first trip to Israel organized and we were all blessed by the experience.  Jennifer was born in Oklahoma, but moved to Texas as an infant and lived there till she moved to Colorado in 2005.  In Texas, she taught Sunday School for adults as well as 4-5 year olds, has been very involved in missions, and served as the Treasurer for the regional Women's Missionary Union.  She is very proud of her Texas A&M accounting degree as well as her law degree from the University of Houston.  She is currently a senior associate attorney with a local law firm, Cain & Hayter.  Jennifer loves the outdoors and enjoys spending time with her three West Highland White Terriers (Gabby, Mickey and Dylan).
